Physical changes in pregnancy

So as you go through these 9 months of your pregnancy, you will find enormous changes in your body. There will be physical discomforts that you have to deal with. To begin with, there will be the nausea and tiredness you may have to deal with.

As your pregnancy reaches the middle months you may find that a lot of your vim and vigor has returned, only to find that the last few months bring new problems and discomforts. As your due date nears, you may start to wonder when you will start to walk again, as against waddling! You may long for a glimpse of your own toes!

Emotional changes in pregnancy

As there will be physical challenges of pregnancy for you to deal with, there will be emotional changes and apprehensions you will have to deal with. Some amount of trepidation is only natural – after all you’re going to have to be in charge of a whole new person, a tiny vulnerable little being who will be entirely dependent upon you for everything.

You may wonder how you will ever have enough hours in the day to do all that needs doing. But don’t worry, the very fact that you are perturbed right now means that your mind is preparing for the arrival of your baby. You are probably prioritizing and organizing; rescheduling your life and preparing for the changes that the arrival of the baby will mean.

Dealing with pregnancy advice

As if the emotional upheaval and physical discomforts of pregnancy weren’t enough to deal with, you are likely to have to put up with a barrage of well meaning but probably unwanted pregnancy advice from pretty much everyone you meet.

For some reason people seem to compelled to offer pregnant women unsolicited advice and also narrate horror stories of long and difficult labors, miscarriages and pregnancy complications.

Well don’t let all of this faze you. Remember that a vast majority of pregnancies are normal, and free of complications. A vast majority of babies are born perfectly normal; with ten perfect little toes and ten perfect little fingers.
